| Congratulations to the DCHS Wrestling Team for defeating region opponent Gordon Central by a score of 78-6 at the LFO Duals Tournament. The team had wins over Ringgold (AAA), LFO (AAA), and Southeast Whitfield (AAA). The finals match was against Murray County (AAAA). Down by 19 points, all four Wolverine wrestlers pinned their opponents to score a great comeback win. Billy Broom is the coach for the DCHS squad. |
Wolverines Compete at Cross Country Championships
Pictured above is the 2008 state qualifying team for Region 7-AA in Cross Country.
From left, the team includes Laronica Barton, Lil Bradbury, Katelynn Usry, Brittney Thurman, Mary Gronek, and Alyssa Jackson.
The team competed at Carollton High School and placed 20th out of 27 teams. Individual results can be viewed at the Georgia High School Track & Field and Cross Country web site (GATFXC.com).
