Students that had Senior Portraits taken in June can pick them up on July 11th between the hours of 8:15 AM and 10:00 AM at DCHS.  Students may place orders beginning July 21st between the hours of 10:00 AM and Noon.

McEachern Photography will be back on the high school campus on August 8th for final shots of senior portraits.

The DCHS English department has replaced the normal summer reading requirements with paralleled reading assigned outside of class each nine weeks, with the exception of the AP literature class that was informed to read before returning to school: The Awakening by Kate Chopin and How to Read Literature Like a Professor.

The remaining courses will begin their outside reading with the following selections for the first nine weeks:

9th Grade - Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life by Wendy Mass
10th Grade - The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie OR The Education of Little Tree by Asa Earl Carter
11th Grade - Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albolm
11th Grade Honors - Ethan Frome by Edith Wharton
12th Grade - Grendel by John Gardner
